Building better wireless service in DC - Verizon

Improving the quality and capacity of D.C. residents’ smart phone voice and data services makes good sense. Demand for wireless service is expected to grow seven times by 2023, and network enhancements are needed to keep up with demand. Verizon Wireless has proposed a small cell network for D.C., consisting of small facilities mounted on utility poles, streetlight poles and on new small cell poles similar to existing light poles. The Verizon Wireless small cell network will greatly enhance service capacity and provide in-building service in hard to reach areas with aesthetically discrete technology.
