OIC/DC Opportunity

In partnership with the Community Workforce Development Scholarship Fund (CWDSF), OIC/DC is currently recruiting residents who live within a 1.5-mile radius of the Trellis House located at 2323 Sherman Ave NW to enroll in training sponsored by DOES’ DC Infrastructure Academy to attain a CompTIA A+ certification. Training will be conducted virtually, via internet, for 16 weeks, 4 hours per day (10am-2pm), 5 days a week. Eligible participants will receive a $10 per hour training stipend. Also, upon earning their CompTIA A+ certification, participants will receive $2000 from OIC/DC via the Community Workforce Development Scholarship Fund.

In addition to the residence criterion, a participant must:  Possess a high school diploma or GED; Meet the training providers’ entry requirements; Be 18 years of age and up; Be unemployed or underemployed; Be a US citizen.
