Emancipation Day Holiday for DPW - Stay Safe!

The Department of Public Works (DPW) will observe the Emancipation Day Holiday on Thursday, April 16; therefore trash and recycling services will be suspended.  If you receive trash and recycling collection on Thursday your collection will slide to the next day.  Please see our slide guide here for more information.  For more information regarding DPW services, visit the link below.

In accordance with Mayor’s Order 2020-058, the District Government will only allow farmers markets to operate if operators have an approved COVID-19 waiver.  Food waste drop-off service will only occur at those markets that have the waiver.  Food waste drop-off programs are suspended at all other markets. For the latest update on food waste drop-off programs visit coronavirus.dc.gov.
